On June 5, 2014, The Julia Morgan Ballroom was honored to host Emerge America’s California annual event honoring 2014 Woman of the Year, Congresswoman Jackie Speier, and 2014 Alumna of the Year, Oakland City Councilwoman Libby Schaaf. San Francisco Mayor, Ed Lee, and San Francisco Supervisors and Emerge alumnae, Malia Cohen and London Breed, were on hand to help celebrate the achievements and contributions both women have made over the past year.
