For five weeks this summer, the legendary Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca— widely recognized as the top restaurant on the planet—shuttered their Spanish flagship to complete a five-city world tour for BBVA Compass. Consider it the ultimate pop-up concept: a three-Michelin star experience at five of the world’s most exclusive venues.

Accompanied by a team of 35 traveling sous chefs, Jordi, Joan and Josep Roca transformed the Julia Morgan Ballroom into a culinary wonderland, fusing technology and haute cuisine to create a locally sourced menu that can only be described as mind-blowing. The five-day event was truly remarkable, but it comes with the territory for San Francisco’s most coveted private event venue.
